We have purchased a new server for the weather station, but are now experiencing problems with the comms connections ! We are looking at a different solution - something that will also cope with the frequent power outages in the Control Tower !
We'll get it working again as soon as possible but, in the meantime, Bramblemet will give a close approximation to the wind at Lee:
(Note that Bramblemet has itself been having comms issues and temporary outages and the data is now provided by ABP sensors at Calshot.)
A new, and possibly better, source of weather information is Calshot Spit Light Float, http://www.rock7.com/wind/ - approximately 4km west of the airfield.
Note also that Shoreham's TAF and METAR usually gives a much better indication of the weather likely to be encountered at Lee than those from Southampton.
