Flying Training returns to Lee on Solent Airfield PDF Print E-mail

It's taken a bit of negotiation and paperwork, but we're pleased to announce that Flying Training is back at Lee !

Would anyone have believed we'd say that 15 months ago !?

As Lee is unlicensed the PPL/NPPL training will be out of Bembridge, but that's how it's always worked.  For that reason training will be limited to the days when Bembridge is licensed - weekdays and some weekends.

We'll be starting small and only growing the training in a sustainable way, so impact on weekdays will be limited too.  Clearly the Airfield Manager does not want the same situation arising when training was last at Lee, so starting with limited, weekday-only movements nicely fit in with his criteria.

As part of the CAA requirements we'll be creating two small briefing rooms at the office end of the Clubhouse over the next two weeks.

We're also registered to conduct groundschool exams and sign off your SEPs on experience - very useful !

PPL/NPPL training will be an all-inclusive £159 per tacho hour, wheels off to on at Bembridge - positioning flights to/from Lee are not charged.  Standard membership fee applies.  See the current price list for details.

IMC Training will also be available for approximately £2400, including training, groundschool, approaches, exam and test.

We'll release further updates as things progress, but we see this as a very positive development for Phoenix.
