Situated with The Solent only a stone’s throw from the end of the runway and with the Isle of Wight just 5 minutes flight time away, MCA Daedalus Aerodrome at Lee-on-Solent is hard to beat as a location.

The lesson begins with a comprehensive pre-flight briefing on the principles of flight, the aircraft and its controls, and what to expect during the lesson.  During the flight, and under the expert eyes of your instructor, you will take the controls and experience what it’s like to pilot an aircraft.

Why not bring a friend to share the experience?  At no extra cost, subject to weight limitations, our four-seater aircraft have ample room for a passenger.

The 1 hour flight at £165 includes an option to land on the Isle of Wight, and even share the flying with a friend – one flying out and the other back – again at no extra cost.

No lower or upper age limits apply for learning to fly, but for practical reasons we recommend teenager and upwards. 

The flying can be logged as training and counts towards a PPL or NPPL licence for anyone aged 14 years and over.
